Casing Stabbing Boards
Discovery Drilling Equipment casing stabbing board is designed and manufactured to provide safe, fast and reliable access to casings at different heights. It is attached to the mast with the help of clamps and safety line. DDE casing stabbing board is driven by an air winch fitted with an automatic fail safe brake. Casing stabbing board is equipped with the block stop that operates automatically in case of winch rope or brake failure. Safety ropes, non-slip expanded metal flooring, belly belt and attachment point serve for the protective purposes and operator safety. Design of casing stabbing board is fully tested and meets all safety requirements. Galvanized casing stabbing board can be manufactured per customer’s request.

Voltage Regulator is converter to provide current and voltage dual closed loop regulating, to maintain a stable output voltage
Synchronizing:
load share Synchronizer provides automatic frequency, phase and voltage synchronizing. It combines synchronizing for circuit breakers, load and power factor control or isochronous load sharing and generator protection.
The Generator Synchronization (Sync) Circuit is required to connect additional generators to the Main AC bus, after one (1) or more generators are already connected to the Main AC Bus.
SYSTEM HOST PLC
The System Host PLC is a high speed, versatile modular PLC.
The PLC is used for serial communication with remote consoles and other rig devices

INTEGRATIVE DRILLERS CONSOLE/CABIN
Communication between PLC cabinet and the drillers console via Profibus
Two sets of Industrial touch screen computers SIMATIC MP370 are redundantly used in this console, in normal operating conditions one is used for system control and one for monitoring.
The mud pumps will be operated via the touch screen instead of hand throttles.
The drawworks will be operated with a joystick, if the joystick fails, it can also be operated via the touch screen

DDE offers a complete line of AC drawworks that range from 750 HP to 4000 HP. These drawworks are specifically designed to withstand the harshest drilling conditions. All drawworks feature a heavy duty skid, and precision machined gear box, with a gear quality of AGMA 11 or higher. The light and compact AC Drawworks are also available ranging from 500 to 1000 HP. Discovery can also provide the VFD to operate the drawworks as well as the energy management software to control hoisting and lowering operations including anauto-driller function. All drawworks are manufactured in accordance with the API standards and have API monogram.

Substructures
Discovery has intensive inventory of substructures solutions for oil drilling and workover applications. Modular - box on box type, skid mounted, swing lift – desert style, sling shot and skidding installations are currently available in DDE portfolio. All substructures are supplied with adjustable seats around the rotary table and have full recovery spill prevention system. Design compliance –API 4F. Discovery’s standard substructures can be modified to fit the shoes ofany mast.

Swing Lift solutions are designed to limit the need of a subsidiary crane using the drawworks power (only two lifts are required). The wide open space under the substructure allows easy access to install and operate on BOP systems. The simple design reduces loads and moving time, assuring at the same time high rigidity and stability to the structures.

Modular design is suitable for polar and extreme cold weather conditions. It can be designed in with Skidding system up to 60 Meters of longitudinal skidding, and up to 6 Meters of transverse skidding. Substructures are built in accordance with API 4F(3rd edition) standards for working temperatures from -45°С to 55°С. Discovery’s modular subs can be modified to fit specific offshore platform specifications.

Masts/Derricks
API 4F (3-rd edition) design

Capacity: up to 1000 Tons
Discovery manufactures high quality masts/derricks ranging from 150 Tons to 1000 Tons of capacity. It is designed in compliance to API 4F (3rd-edition) standards to work in extreme cold conditions of -40°C ambient temperature. Masts and Derricks can be equipped with additional customer specified accessories, to fulfill highest industry requirements. Standard masts/derricks can be modified to fit shoes of any Substructure. DDE also has quake resistance derricks in it’s portfolio.
Deadline Anchors
Discovery Drilling Equipment fabricates API certified and monogrammed dead line anchors with the pulling capacities ranging from 30,000 to 150,000 pounds. They are designed to accommodate wire rope sizes from 1'' to 1-7/8''.
Left hand and right hand as well as floor or leg mount models can be supplied per customer’s request.
DDE dead line anchors are fabricated for usage with weight indicators and load cells and can be used in severe environmental conditions: from -40º to +55º.

Discovery manufactures a large range of traveling blocks to meet different application or load rating. Our standard load ratings range from 100 Tons to 1000 Tons. We also offer custom engineered traveling blocks for special applications. Our traveling equipment is designed and rated in accordance with the API standards and have API monogram. All traveling equipment has a streamline design, to prevent interference with its surroundings, and feature even distribution of weight to ensure proper free fall. All traveling equipment can be provided with third party certification ABS, DNV or CE.

Discovery Drilling Equipment manufactures TRUE FORGED sheaves. They are available in sizes that range from 24" to 72" and grooved to customer specification. The bore can be made to accommodate tapered roller bearings, bronze bushings, snap rings, or to customer specification. We also manufacture sheaves to industry standards such as API 8A or 8C, or DIN, and third party certifications such as ABS or DNV is available upon request. Our sheaves feature normalized forged rings to eliminate cracks, full penetrations welds between the web and hub and each sheave is thermally stress relieved. Also all sheave are flame hardened to a minimum of 28 RC and each bore is concentric to the groove to ensure correct operation.
