Joint-stock company “Orenburgburneft” put into operation a new skidding rig, on Griamechevskyi location. This rig is a Discovery Drilling Equipment proprietary design for cluster drilling in Polar conditions. It is the first drilling rig of such capacity in Orenburg Region....

Currently “Orenburgburneft” has already assimilated the experience with two analogical drilling rigs of smaller capacity and they proved their effective work. One of the advantages of this rig is its perfect usage for cluster drilling, as it can be quickly moved to a new well. Another advantage of this type of rig is the possibility to drill two boreholes simultaneously, by means of drill floor skidding. The drilling rig of such capacity can drill for more than 4000 meters. At the same time rig-up, rig-down and transportation time is considerably short: about 20-25 days even when the distance between wells is 250 kilometers.
